How do I know if I have Sleep Apnea?

Sleep apnea is more than just snoring. Over time, poor sleep and low oxygen affect your body from head to toe, but the good news is these side effects can be fixed with proper treatment.

Daytime Sleepiness

With dozens or even hundreds of sleep interruptions per night, people with sleep apnea often wake up feeling low on energy, even after getting 8 or more hours of sleep. You may need a nap or extra caffeine just to get through the day.

Waking Up Gasping for Air

When you're experiencing a particularly bad sleep apnea episode, your brain may startle you fully awake so you can clear your airway and start breathing again.

Loud Snoring

About 97% of people with obstructive sleep apnea snore. If you snore nightly or your partner frequently complains about the noise, it's worth getting checked for sleep apnea.

Brain Fog

Between poor sleep and the dips in oxygen, untreated sleep apnea damages your brain, leading to mood changes, brain fog, and memory issues.

Morning Headaches

Sleep apnea causes inflammation throughout the blood vessels in your head, which often triggers a headache once you wake up.

FAQs

Want to know more about our HST process? We're here to answer any questions you may have, starting with a few FAQs.

Do I need a prescription?

You do not need a prescription to order an HST from us. After you submit your order, we'll ask you to answer a few questions, which a provider will review to determine if an HST is right for you. Once you're approved, your test will be shipped right to your door.

Is it accurate?

Our home sleep tests are FDA-approved, meaning they have been clinically tested and are highly accurate. You can rest easy knowing that your HST results are reliable.

What happens after I finish my home sleep test?

After you have completed your sleep test, you will submit your data through the sleep test app. This information will be reviewed by a board-certified sleep doctor to determine if your results meet the requirements of a sleep apnea diagnosis. If your provider diagnoses you with sleep apnea, you will be offered a personalized care plan, including prescription therapies such as CPAP, oral appliances, and more.
