Travel Tips

DO NOT attempt to transport the Luna 2 with water in the humidifier tank. The humidifier tank is not sealed and can cause damage or loss to the device by spilling water.

The AC power settings on this machine allow it to accept power input from US and International outlets, however, be aware you will need World Traveler Power Adapter Plugs In order to make it work with international outlets.

QR Code and 3B Luna QR App

Every night your machine will generate a QR code. This code will appear on the Luna's display, and when scanned with the 3B Luna QR App (available for both Apple and Android), it will generate a report about the previous night of sleep. You can view it on your phone.

To download:

1. Open the App Store App on your iPhone, or open the Google Play Store App for your Android.
2. Search for ""3B Luna QR"", and locate the result with the name ""3B Luna QR"" and download.
3. Once downloaded, open it, and scan the QR code.

IMPORTANT WARNINGS

• Tobacco smoke may cause tar build-up within the device, leading to damage or loss of the device.
• The device is not suitable for high humidity environments (such as a sauna). Please make sure no water enters the device.
• DO NOT use the Luna 2 around electromagnetic devices, including CT scanners.

Using Your New Luna II QX for the First Time

When your Luna II QX first arrives, there is no need to set the therapy pressure, as this was done before we shipped it to you. As you unpack the box, you'll find the hose, cord, humidifier chamber, reusable filter, and the Luna II QX along with a few other accessories.

To prepare your Luna II QX for the first use, you'll need to follow these instructions.

1. Connect the hose to the machine and your mask, ensuring the connections are tight on both. 
2. Install the reusable filter.
3. Fill the humidifier chamber with distilled water.
4. Connect the power cord and plug into the appropriate wall outlet and then plug the cord into your machine. 
5. Press the therapy on/off button on top of the machine to start therapy.

Hose Cleaning Tips

1. Pour a mixture of mild soap and water or vinegar into the hose and swirl it around so that it coats the sides of the hose.
2. Use a tube brush to scrub the interior of the hose, making sure you remove all deposits.
3. Set aside to drip dry before your next use.

Replacing the Filter

The Luna II QX uses a reusable foam filter that needs to be inserted into the filter cover assembly. The filter cover assembly can be found on the bottom left corner of the machine. Here's how to change the filters:

1. Eject the filter cover by pulling it out and away from the device.
2. Remove the current filter and replace it with a new one.
3. Snap the filter cover assembly back into place.

Humidifier Cleaning Tips

Tap water has added minerals, fluoride, and impurities, and the quality can vary depending on where you live. As the humidifier adds moisture to therapy air, tap water causes mineral build-up, creating a thick, chalky film at the bottom of the tank. This is normal if using tap water.

You can completely eliminate mineral deposit buildup entirely if you switch to using distilled water exclusively. Distilled water has all minerals and impurities removed, and it's not intended for drinking. Because it's free from minerals, the film doesn't form at the bottom of the tank.

Because the humidifier has a lot of heated standing water, it can quickly grow bacteria. This is why it's essential to clean your CPAP humidifier regularly.

If you need to clean your humidifier, please follow these steps:

1. Using mild soapy water or vinegar, scrub the humidifier, removing all deposits. DO NOT use chemicals such as bleach or household cleaner, as these chemicals may cause poisoning.
2. When the deposits have been completely removed, allow the tank to air dry.
