Using Your Mask for the First Time

Connect mask cushion to frame
Loop fabric headgear straps into mask frame
Ensure headgear clips are detached from the frame
Connect machine hose to the front of the mask frame
Hold the cushion in place over your nose and mouth
Pull the headgear over your head
Adjust the upper and lower head straps until the mask fits comfortably

This mask uses magnetic clips to secure the frame into place without having to adjust the mask’s velcro head straps. These magnets are not safe when used with certain medical implants including:

Finding Your Cushion Size

Hold the mask with the headgear facing away and the exhalation ports at the top. Turn the mask upside down and check the bottom of the mask frame and cushion for a black letter, indicating the cushion size.

Disassembling Your Mask

Pull mask elbow away from CPAP hose
Gently pull mask cushion away from frame to separate the cushion
Release magnetic clips from mask frame
Undo velcro upper head straps and pull away from frame

Daily Cleaning

Disassemble mask
Wipe cushion and mask frame clean or wash with mild soap and warm water
Allow to dry out of direct sunlight and excess heat
Do not reassemble until mask parts are fully dry

Weekly Cleaning

Disassemble mask completely
Wash mask frame, cushion, and headgear in warm water with mild soap
Rinse each component thoroughly
Allow all parts to dry away from direct sunlight or heat
Do not reassemble mask until all parts are fully dry

Yes, the Amara View Headgear uses headgear clips to fasten the headgear to the mask frame. These clips are included with your mask purchase and easily snap into place or twist off to disconnect your mask.

How Do I Clean My Amara View Headgear?

CPAP headgear should be cleaned once every one to two weeks or more frequently if you notice acne or breakouts on your scalp. Follow the steps below to clean your Amara View Headgear:

Disconnect your Amara View Headgear from the mask frame.
Hand-wash the headgear using a mild soap and warm water. Do not use bleach, alcohol, or solutions containing conditioners or moisturizers.
Thoroughly rinse your headgear with warm water.
Allow your headgear to air dry before reattaching to the mask frame. Do not tumble-dry your Amara View headgear.

Your Amara View headgear should always be hand-washed. Never wash your Amara View headgear in the dishwasher.

Is the Replacement Headgear Compatible With All Sizes of the Amara View Mask?

Yes, both the Amara View Mask frame and Amara View Headgear are only available in one size, so your replacement headgear will seamlessly attach to your mask frame the same way your original headgear did. The only size difference is in the mask cushion, which is available in Small, Medium, and Large.
