  • Previous to 2015: A black letter is printed on the bottom of the flap to indicate the size.
  • Current Design: A raised, clear letter is embossed on the bottom of the flap to show the size.

System One Resistance Control Tips

If using a Respironics System One machine, a system one resistance control number from Respironics can be set to allow the machine to compensate for different mask types. The resistance control number for the ComfortGel Blue Full Face CPAP Mask is X1. Please Note: System One Resistance Control is for System One Machines only.

Your ComfortGel Blue Full Face Mask cushion will last approximately six months. You should consider replacing the mask cushion if it begins to leak, or if you have to overtighten to get a good seal.

Cleaning Tips

  1. Separate the mask cushion from the frame and remove the headgear.
  2. Wet a paper towel with a mix of mild soap and water, and gently scrub the cushion and forehead pad. Make sure to remove any debris that may have collected.
  3. Set the cushion aside to air dry, but don’t place it in direct sunlight.

Headgear Cleaning Tips

  1. Wet the headgear with water.
  2. Apply a little mild soap to the headgear.
  3. Gently scrub the headgear, and rinse with clean drinking water.
  4. Set aside to air dry, but don’t place in direct sunlight.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not wash in a clothes washer or dry it in a dryer. Do not iron.

XL Sizing Guide

To view a sizing guide that includes the XL size, click here: ComfortGel Blue Full Face Sizing Guide - XL. Be sure if printing to unselect "fit to page", as fitting to the page will shrink the actual size of the guide. Please note when doing this only the large and extra large sizes will be visible on the page to print out.

Headgear

The ComfortGel Blue Full Face mask comes packaged with the Headgear for the ComfortGel Blue and ComfortGel Full Face Mask. If a smaller headgear is needed consider the Premium Headgear with EZ Peel Tabs for Comfort Series Masks in the Small size.

Headgear color may vary; however, performance is not affected.

Cushion and Frame Compatibility

The ComfortGel Blue Full Face Mask comes in 4 different frame sizes. Use only the cushion/flap that fits onto your frame size. The cushion and SST Flap will not fit onto a frame of a different size.

  • Extra Large frame = Extra Large cushion and flap
  • Large frame = Large cushion and flap
  • Medium frame = Medium cushion and flap
  • Small frame = Small cushion and flap

Where do I find the size?

The size of the ComfortGel Blue Full Face CPAP mask frame is recorded in two locations. The sizes are recorded in close proximity of one another. First, locate the supplier part number, which is the larger black number written below the elbow of the mask. The number will directly link the user to a specific size. The second location of the mask frame size is located just above the supplier part number. A small, clear letter is embossed into the mask frame to indicate the size of the mask frame.

To find the size of the full face cushion, turn the mask so that you are looking directly at the bottom of the full face cushion. The full face gel cushion does not have an identifiable size. Use the letter indicated on the silicone flap to determine the size of the full face gel cushion.

Which CPAP masks work on which machines?

Any mask will work with any machine, with one important exception. The ResMed AirMini is only compatible with certain ResMed CPAP masks. Compatible masks for the AirMini are as follows:

  • ResMed AirFit™ N20 Nasal Mask
  • ResMed AirFit™ F20 Full Face
  • ResMed AirTouch™ F20 Full Face
  • ResMed AirFit™ P10 Nasal Pillow

When considering another CPAP, APAP or BiPAP machine from ResMed or any other manufacturer, mask compatibility extends to all brands. The AirMini uses non-standard tubing to connect the machine to the mask, and is the primary reason why other masks won't work with the AirMini. Despite this issue, many of our customers consider the AirMini to be an excellent machine.

How do I choose the mask that is right for me?
We provide our customers with many tools to make informed decisions about their mask purchases. Options include:
  • Calling a CPAP Expert Toll Free. 800.356.5221.

  • Comparison Charts. These charts compare available masks, feature by feature. IF you're unsure of the meaning of a feature, click on or hover over the question mark for a pop out definition. Click on the image or name of the product for more detailed product information, pictures and resources.

  • Sizing Guides. Many Nasal and Full Face masks have sizing guides available to help determine the size needed. Simply print the sizing guide, cut out if needed, and use a mirror or helper to look at the guide to see if it is a proper fit on the face. Please note, to ensure the guide is the proper size, it should be printed in PDF format at 100% scale, meaning "Fit to Page" may have to be disabled.

  • Return Insurance. With every mask we sell, you have the option of purchasing return insurance. Masks are FDA approved medical devices. Once a mask is used, it cannot be resold to another customer. CPAP.com was the first in the industry to offer return insurance to our customers. Return insurance provides 30 days for you to try a mask and return it for any reason for a refund of the price of the mask. If you are trying a mask for the first time, return insurance might be right for you.

We also offer Free Return Insurance on some masks.
How do I care for my mask?

Masks should be washed daily with warm water and gentle soap or baby shampoo. Let the mask air dry. Never use antibacterial soap as it will break down the silicone of the mask cushion. Avoid soaps that include lotion which can coat the mask and cause it to lose its seal. A safe cleaner is the Control III Disinfectant CPAP Cleaning Solution. Remember, going to bed with a clean face will improve your seal and protect the lifespan of your mask. Citrus Mask Wipes

The best time to clean your mask is in the morning after use. This removes the oils left behind from your skin which can reduce the lifespan of your mask. We recommend using Mask Wipes to make daily morning cleaning easy. The mask wipes are made from materials that will not break down your mask.

Citrus Mask Wipes

For customers who want to completely disinfect their mask and accessories, there's an even better option than wipes. The Lumin Mask and Accessories Cleaner uses powerful UV light to disinfect, killing almost all bacteria almost instantly. It's not a cleaner and doesn't scrub or wash anything, but for simple disinfecting the Lumin works great!

How often should I replace my mask?
Medicare allows for mask cushion replacement every three (3) months, and a complete mask system replacement every six (6) months. CPAP manufacturers and vendors suggest these replacement schedules as well.

In our experience, most mask cushions begin to deteriorate after about six months of use. The cushion eventually becomes too soft to hold a seal. The headgear straps lose elasticity and must be tightened more and more to get the same quality seal.

We strongly suggest replacing cushions and pillows as soon as they start to soften. Air leaks may reduce the effectiveness of CPAP therapy and headgear that is too tight may cause facial sores at pressure points. In most cases, replacement headgear is available if it is stretched out or the Velcro worn out.

To see what parts of your mask are replaceable refer to our Replacement Part Finder. Just search for your mask to see all of the replaceable parts.

What does a mask prescription need to say?
A mask prescription must contain all of the following information:
  • One of the following words or phrases: "CPAP Mask", "CPAP Supplies", "CPAP Humidifier", "CPAP", "Continuous Positive Airway Pressure", "APAP", "AutoPAP", "AutoSet", "Auto CPAP", "Auto Adjusting CPAP", "Self Adjusting CPAP", "BiPAP", "BiLevel", "VPAP", "BiPAP Auto", "BiPAP ST", "Synchrony ST", "VPAP ST"

Why might I prefer a nasal mask?
The ideal CPAP mask is not noticeable to the user during CPAP therapy. If you breathe through your nose only, the nasal mask may offer the best therapy. Nasal cushions create a very good seal around your nose, while keeping a small profile. Also, nasal masks can be found in silicone, gel, foam, or cloth material. The SleepWeaver masks are the only cloth masks on the market, and are a very popular choice among nasal mask users. Lastly, most nasal masks have a forehead support which offers stability and support for the mask.

The plastic seems brittle. Keep getting some leakage at th

Verified purchase | Nov. 15, 2020 | Verified CPAP.com Customer
I bought one of these on 07/15/2020, and a few nights ago, the forehead piece randomly came off without me purposely releasing it, I just reconnected it and thought no more about it. Two nights ago, I noticed a small shard of plastic fall out of it when I put it on, but it was too dark to see where it came from. Last night I examined it and found that the latching mechanism had fractured where it hooks onto the forehead piece and now the two sections, while still usable for the time of being, come apart really easily. I did note that the clear plastic that the mask frame and latching mechanisms were made out of seemed like they could be somewhat brittle, and the latching mechanisms likely to easily break the for how intricate they were, when I first received the mask, this has now proven true.

Old but Good

Verified purchase | Nov. 03, 2020 | Verified CPAP.com Customer
I know that there are newer model masks out there, but I have stuck with this one. It seems to fit my face very well, a minimum of leakage. Hate to try other masks, have to go through the return process, etc. The only negative is that when some of the plastic parts break there are no replacements available and you have to buy a whole new mask.

The ComfortGel Blue Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear is good but I was hoping that the color of the headgear was like the picture in blue, not black, because the quality of the raw cloth is suitable in the blue would be stronger Thank you

Gel seal is smaller than other maskes

Verified purchase | Sep. 24, 2020 | Verified CPAP.com Customer
I would order one size large than normal for this mask, the gel seal covers a smaller area. The nose bridge and forehead cushion are difficult to seal, leaving me with a sore nose bridge part-way through the night.

Best yet

Verified purchase | Aug. 25, 2020 | Verified CPAP.com Customer
As of this review, I have tried 6 different masks. For most of them, there were one or two items that were positive over the others. However, they each were still difficult to use and I couldn't seem to get over 3-4 hours per night with them. This one has been the best so far. I am consistently over 4 hours. The adjustable forehead pad and the thick gel padding in the mask are both significant positives. I still struggle with the fit on my chin. The perfect combo? The positives of this mask along with an under the chin fit!
