The PR System One REMStar 60 Series SE CPAP Machine is an entry level single pressure CPAP machine with many features found in the 60 Series line of machines.
- Flex Technology
- OPTIONAL System One Humidification & Heated Tube
- On-board Memory for Compliance Date
- System One Resistance Control
- LED User Interface
- Travel Friendly Size
Philips Respironics offers Flex technology on the REMstar SE CPAP. It is a pressure relief system which makes the breathing process more natural and comfortable. The Flex feature of the REMstar SE senses the breathing pattern for approximately 5 breaths and bases the level of pressure relief at the time of exhalation on the breathing rate and pressure needs of the user. The Flex technology can be set to 1, 2 or 3. Or it can be turned off and there will not be a pressure drop at the time of exhalation.
Optional PR System One 60 Series Heated Tube Humidifier with Heated Tube
PR aims to maximize therapy comfort with the OPTIONAL System One Humidification System and Heated Tube. It reduces rainout and increases the level of humidification that reaches the mask. Using the room temperature in its calculations, the humidification system will operate at a System One Relative Humidity setting of 2 to deliver 80% humidity.
The LED display screen of the REMstar SE displays the 7 and 30 Day Average number of hours used. Step through the available information using the screen menu. The REMstar SE also has an on-board memory which holds up to 6 months of data. Or use an OPTIONAL generic SD card to store compliance information for up to 1 year. Visit this page to read about or order a Generic SD Memory Card. Using either the on-board or SD card to store data, the most recent data will be held in storage. To state it another way, the first data in will be the first data to fall out when capacity is reached.
System One Resistance Control
Philips Respironics includes this advanced feature which lets the machine consider the resistance of the mask to provide a consistent level of pressure. The System One Resistance Control number is stamped on mask by PR.
The LED display of the REMstar SE provides information about the machine and setting. The buttons of the machine are used to move through the various menu items relating to the operation. Information includes to:
- Pressure Setting
- Heated Humidifier
- FLEX Setting
- Ramp Starting Pressure
- Therapy Hours Time Meter
- 7 & 30 Day Average Use Time
A ramp is a comfort feature used to help ease the user into sleep. It can be set to start the pressure flow at a lower level than the prescribed therapy pressure and over a selected period of time the pressure gradually increases to the prescribed pressure. The ramp time on the SE CPAP can be set from 0 to 45 minutes and can start as low as 4 cmwp. The ramp feature is not required for CPAP therapy and can be set turned off.
Weighing just 3 lbs and only 7" x 5.5" in size, the REMstar SE CPAP machine is travel friendly. It comes with a carry case designed to accommodate the optional heated humidifier, tube and mask.

This system operates automatically between 110v and 240v AC. When traveling either inside or outside the USA, there are no switches to switch or fuses to change. The machine will automatically sense what voltage is needed and set itself to run on that power.
When traveling outside the US, the user will need to adapt the plug that goes into the wall to fit the style of outlet socket that is being used. This is simply done with a World Traveler Power Adapter Plug kit. This is the same type of plug adapter that would be used with a hair dryer or an electric shaver.
Optional DC Cable
The machine can operate using DC Power using the Shielded DC Cord for PR System One 60 Series Machines. This cord is compatible ONLY with PR System One 60 Series Machines. The 12 Volt DC Power Cord (connects CPAP to cigarette lighter socket) used with other PR System One machines IS NOT compatible with PR System One 60 Series Machines.

This replaced an older Renstar with a humidifier that had stopped working. The new machine is smaller, lighter and quieter and looks better with the humidifier attached. It was mostly easy to set up and is working very well. I am sleeping like a baby. The person I talked to at CPAP.com was quite helpful working with me to decide what to buy. more...

I am a cheapskate. I had the same CPAP machine for over 12 years. So when I bought this to replace my aging REMstar plus, I was very pleased with how small and quiet it is. Of course, the price was very reasonable as well. more...

Excellent customer service with CPAP.com and the right machine for a great price. Frankly, I wonder why insurance/Medicare companies do not have their customers shop here first. The savings is very significant. Thank you. more...
