Where do I find the size?
The Breeze Nasal Pillow mask frame does not have an identifiable size because it offers a universal fit for each of the Breeze nasal pillows.
Too bad they are not making them anymore, more importantly the pillows. This was the best headgear I ever used.
Love the gear , but has a weak point that breaks to often
1. Like many, I have had to replace this Puritan Bennett Breeze SleepGear Nasal Pillow Shell and Exhaust Vent multiple times (since 2000) because it is made of brittle plastic and begins to leak at the seam and the stem that attaches it to the mask also breaks because it receives pressure and is not strong enough plastic to hold up. 2. The price of this shell of brittle plastic is excessive considering the design flaws. Unfortunately for me this mask lets me sleep on my side so I am stuck with replacing this part over and over .... It would be nice if we could get a "frequent buyer" discount esp. after we've bought several Breeze SleepGear masks already and replacemant parts such as these Nasal Pillow Shells?
The one portion, the tongue, of this unit is so fragile that it breaks at almost any attempt to adjust the mask. The other portion is almost indestructible. Yet the 2 portions are jointed in such a way that they can not be separated. To add insult to injury pricing it almost as high as the whole mask is highway robbery.
I have tried masks for my sleeping. I could never get a good seal. The Puritan Bennett Breeze Sleep Gear is the only unit i have tried that I really like. I get a good nights sleep and no "leaks". I almost changed my provider when i was informed they no longer issued the Puritan Bennett Breeze Sleep Gear. Then I found CPAP.com. I will stay with Lincare, I'll also stay with CPAP.com.
Unfortunately, the piece breaks easily at the transition point between the slide and the hinge. It feels like a "planned obsolescence" scenario to me. It could be so easily redesigned to last a LONG time..... but they didn't ask me. That is the only problem with this mask. I am glad for this style. I HATE having straps all around my head, and always pull them off in the night. Not with this one. Great for side-sleepers!
I have used the Breeze system since it first came on the market, and this piece has broken on every single unit I've had. After thinking long and hard about Puritan Bennett's design, I've decided that this may be a safety feature designed to snap if too much force is applied. Better to break plastic than your nose or upper teeth. Just a thought. In any case, they will break over time simply due to normal flexing during use. Usually after 1 to 2 years of careful wear. Annoying, but I like the Breeze system so much, I put up with it. In any case, having the part available is great, however, the price for a new mask at CPAP.com is roughly $20 more, and by the time this piece wears out, the rest of the mask is often getting a little dodgy as well.
Has a tendency to break about once every couple years where it connects to the headgear, but overall function is great.
The product I received was in excellent condition but over the years that I have used the Breeze I have felt there is a major design flaw in the thickness of the material at the thin section which attaches to the headpiece and the swivel portion. I have yet to have a nasal pillow shell last motre than six months without it breaking at this transition. Yes, I am cautious about putting any stress on the shell when I remove my headgear.
Excellent for sleeping on back or side. Good selection of pillows. Comfortable & hoses totally out of the way. Occasionally breaks at adjustment screw and at the connection to the headgear, but benefits outweigh this issue.
The product is great except for one major flaw. If they used plastic that was unbreakable it would be a vast improvement! I have already bought 3 of these due to breakage!
I've bought this specific part three times. It's faulty in design. It breaks where the adjustment slide attaches to the shell/vent. I'm beginning to think it's on purpose after paying for it three times.
