The 420G is the size of two VHS video cassettes stacked on top of each other. It is the lightest CPAP on the market. Best of all, it is built to last and backed by a two-year manufacturer warranty which means that although it is a travel CPAP, you can plan on this little guy lasting as long as any other CPAP on the market. It is a great machine.
This model is no longer available. A suitable replacement for this machine is the AirStart 10 CPAP with Heated Humidifier. This small CPAP has been very popular because of the size and weight, especially as a second machine for travelers, but it can certainly be your 'every night' machine with as long a life expectancy as any other CPAP. It is a great product.
CPAP machines come with a six foot hose, a travel bag and manuals. Masks are not included and must be purchased separately. We will be happy to help you with sizing and offer suggestions on current popular masks.
The 420 line of machines can experience power problems when used with a Full Face Mask at pressures exceeding 15 CM/H2O. If you wish to use this mask configuration, please consider a different machine.
Error Note: If the machine displays an error 7 or "ER 7" this indicates an issue internally with the machine's blower. You can contact the provider of the machine to seek service if it is available, or the machine may need to be replaced.
Manufacturer Warranty
This machine comes with a 2 Year Manufacturer Warranty. CPAP.com will work with the manufacturer on your behalf if the machine needs repairs. Please follow these steps:
Please note: The manufacturer warranty is voided by water damage or misuse of the machine.
The Freedom Travel CPAP Battery is currently the best battery on the market to power your GoodKnight Series machine. It makes a native connection without needing to buy an inverter or extra equipment to make it work. The Freedom is the next generation of the C-100 travel battery and is designed to work well with your GoodKnight Series Machine.
CPAP.com Battery Kit for GoodKnight 420 Series MachinesAny mask will work with any machine, with one important exception. The ResMed AirMini is only compatible with certain ResMed CPAP masks. Compatible masks for the AirMini are as follows:
When considering another CPAP, APAP or BiPAP machine from ResMed or any other manufacturer, mask compatibility extends to all brands. The AirMini uses non-standard tubing to connect the machine to the mask, and is the primary reason why other masks won't work with the AirMini. Despite this issue, many of our customers consider the AirMini to be an excellent machine.

IMHO the decision to discontinue this machine was a big mistake. I have many thousands of hours on mine and it just "keeps on ticking" (quietly)
5 years of daily use, not one issue. Excellent machine.
I have used this as a backup machine and did use it on the road when I was travelling a lot. It's very easy to work with and I like it very much. It has a seperate resevoir for humidity which I thought might not be great but turned out to be handy. Some hotel rooms don't have outlets near the bed, or have just one. I found that with a moderate sized hose, I could improvise and use two outlets by seperating the machine from the humidity. Unintended but useful once or twice in a pinch.
I've been on cpap therapy since 2002 and I really like the GoodKnight 420G. This is the second one I've purchased. I have traveled to Europe with it as well as around the States. It is easy to travel with-set-up, quiet, size, comfort and price. I also use it at home.
This is the second Goodnight 420G I've owned. I guess I didn't realize that it has been discontinued and hope that's not a problem. I'm still using the first one for almost 3 years now and paid considerably more for it than I did for this one through CPAP.com so I really appreciate that......thanks.......
This is the machine I was first prescribed, and after 3 years of excellent results, it conked out, so I was desperate to find another. A local medical supply company wanted to charge me more than a thousand dollars for the same machine, but cpap.com sold it to me for $300 -- and I got it the next day to my blessed relief! Thank you.
Very light and quiet. Perfect for travel. I got this machine for travel and as a back up for home, but mostly using for home now since it is much quieter than the M series I have.
I bought the GoodKnight 420G after my 7 year old RemStar Plus conked out. I travel a lot for my job and love the GoodKnight's compact size. It only takes up a small corner in my suitcase, and is small enough I can also slip it easily into my carry-on. I also use my GoodKnight 420G for daily use at home, and it is quite up to the job. The unit is very quiet, though it does telegraph slightly more noise down the tubing to my mask than the RemStar did. Cost of the unit was quite reasonable and is among the lower priced units available. Good things do indeed come in small packages.
The Goodnight 420 G with humidifier was recommended to me by a technician at my CPAP service provider as a good travel machine. I've tested it at home before setting out on a trip to China. It is quiet and seems as well built as the Fisher & Paykel machine that I've used for 6 months. With the humidifier attached, it is almost as large as my original machine, but still smaller & lighter for travel. I may leave the humidifier behind and just use the machine when I want to travel really light. It gave off a funny plastic (new machine) smell for the first few nights, but this has dissipated. Overall it seems like a great machine for travel, or even for regular use in cramped spaces.
During an emergency shopping session from a sudden failure the night before of my fancy Remstar model with all the bells and whistles (my first, and paid for with insurance) I settled on the GK420G. If price were no issue I probably would have purchased one of the newer smaller Remstar's because I was used to the brand. I'm very happy with my purchase, though. The GK420G is absolutely great. It comes packaged with a new hose (my old one is looking a little rough) on top of being about 1/3 the size of my old one. It has a clock, which is kind of unecessary, but nice. It takes a few seconds to ramp up to my full pressure -- but that just means I need to be in the habit of turning on my CPAP before I put on my mask, not the other way around. It's very quiet. It has a slightly different sound than my last machine, but is no louder, at all. Being younger and unmarried a quiet machine is pretty important for when I end up having a successful date. Even though I expected a machine that costs hundreds less to immediately seem lower quality I was amazed when I pulled it out of the box, and especially when I put it on to try it. It's only my second machine but I'm glad that this website allowed me to make an informed decision that kept the budget low and still gave me everything I need.
It works well
I have been using CPAP machine since 2001 and couldn't sleep without it. I have Remstar plus model which is really good but the size of this machine is not quite small enough and take up too much space in my carry on bag. I bought this GoodKnight 420G and the size of this unit is amazingly small compare to my Remstar. I can even put this unit in my laptop carry on bag. The price for this unit is also very good about $200. The unit come with owner manual and manual on how to setup pressure on this machine. Well, I think I should review some things that I don't like about. The first thing I think would be the noise of this machine. It's not too loud but may be for some people because the noise is not constant wheezing but up and down when you are breathing. The second thing is that the unit has a seperated power supply adaptor. It would be better if build into the unit. The 3rd is the on/off button is harder to press on. All this three things were not bothered me too much for the price you pay for. I would recommend this unit to anyone!
