Using Your Mask for the First Time

Your mask comes with three cushion sizes (small, medium, and large). Try each to find the most comfortable fit.

Adjust the split-strap headgear for optimal stability. Position one part forward on the crown and the other below the bump on the back of your head.

Use the easy-adjust fit tab on the right side to fine-tune the mask's tension.

Ensure the QuietAir vents are unobstructed for optimal noise reduction and CO2 washout.

Headgear Position Note

If the tension against your nostrils feels too tight, try splitting the two halves of the headgear strap apart. This can help distribute pressure more comfortably.

AirFit P10 & SmartStart or Auto-On Features

Features that automatically start therapy airflow may not work effectively with the AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow Mask.

Sizing Tips

  • The nasal pillow rim is color-coded by size: Pink = Extra Small, Clear = Small, Gray = Medium, Blue = Large.
  • The size is also indicated by a letter on the bottom of the pillows (XS, S, M, L).
  • All pillow sizes fit both the standard AirFit P10 and the AirFit P10 for Her masks.

Putting On Your Mask in the Dark

  • Feel for the raised "RESMED" lettering on the plastic pillow frame. This should face upward towards your nose.
  • The plastic headgear stabilizers curve upward towards the ears. Feel for this upward curve to orient the mask correctly.

Remember, maintaining clean equipment is crucial for effective therapy and your health. Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines for best results.

How to Adjust the Humidifier on the ResMed AirSense 10?

If you’re looking for information on the AirSense 10 humidifier settings, you’ve come to the right place! From your machine’s home screen, you can easily access the Climate Control Manual Mode to switch your humidification settings. Select “My Options” and then “Climate Ctrl.” From there, you can adjust the Humidity Level and Tube Temp to the temperature you find the most comfortable.

What Is the EPR on the ResMed AirSense 10?

Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR) is an advanced comfort option available on some ResMed devices that helps your CPAP therapy feel more natural; as you exhale, the AirSense 10 will reduce the pressure, making it easier to breathe.

Yes, the AirSense 10 AutoSet is FAA-approved for in-flight use on all domestic and international flights. It's compact and lightweight design makes it easy to pack in your carry-on luggage. Just be sure to remove the water from the humidifier chamber before flying and put the device in Airplane Mode to disable wireless connectivity.

How should the AirFit P10 Headgear fit?

The elastic headgear is created to provide a customizable fit with a split strap design, resulting in minimal facial contact and a snug but comfortable fit to ensure a secure seal. To tighten your headgear, narrow the space between the headgear back straps. To loosen your fit, widen the back straps apart.

How do I prolong the lifespan of my AirFit P10 Headgear?

To prolong the lifespan of your CPAP headgear, it’s important to wash it weekly with mild soap and warm water to ensure oils from your skin and hair don’t degrade your fabric quicker than normal. Make sure you allow your headgear to air dry out of direct sunlight before you use your equipment again.

How often should you replace your ResMed AirFit P10 Headgear?

You should replace your headgear every six months. However, if you notice an increase in discomfort, rips and tears in your headgear fabric, or the need to overtighten your headgear to get a secure seal, then we recommend changing your headgear as soon as you notice these factors.

How Do I Clean My Airfit P10?

Your AirFit P10 mask should be washed daily with warm, soapy water. Then, rinse well and allow your mask and its components to air dry away from direct sunlight. Be sure to use mild soap, and never apply harsh cleaning chemicals to your CPAP equipment. Also, try incorporating mask wipes or the Lumin CPAP Mask and Accessory Cleaner to keep your equipment in tip-top shape while ensuring the bacteria and germs stay away.

How Do I Adjust My Airfit P10?

Once you have put the mask on, ensure the split-tail headgear strap is separated for a better grip on the back of your head. Then, use the adjustment tab to tighten the mask so that it is snug, but not tight. If you still feel that the cushion doesn't fit right, try once of the larger or smaller cushions included with your mask.

How Do You Size an Airfit P10?

The AirFit P10 has a universal fit; it comes with one-size-fits-most headgear and three nasal pillow cushions. Each nasal pillow is color-coded with its corresponding size for easy identification, so you can find the best fit from the comforts of home. Once you’ve found your perfect nasal pillow size, order replacement pillows or bundle a 6-month or 12-month supply, which includes pillows and headgear to take the worry out of replacing your equipment. Replacing your CPAP equipment on time—every three to six months for your pillows and every six to nine months for your headgear—ensures sleep apnea therapy success.
