ResMed AirFit F30i Full Face Mask

Any breathing style, any position, every night

Move freely

Enjoy an open view and sleep in any position with the AirFit F30i. The top‑of‑head hose connection keeps tubing out of the way and swivels as you turn, helping reduce tugging and leaks. A minimal, under‑the‑nose cushion avoids the bridge of your nose for fewer red marks and a clearer line of sight. Whether you’re a side or stomach sleeper, the F30i combines a secure seal with a compact profile so you can settle in comfortably without the bulk of traditional full face designs.

  • Top‑of‑head swivel reduces tangles and hose drag
  • Under‑nose cushion preserves your field of vision
  • Compact profile supports side and stomach sleeping
  • Designed for reliable, all‑night wear

Quiet, open, minimal

The F30i focuses on a calmer, less‑claustrophobic experience. QuietAir vent technology helps diffuse exhaled air for a softer sound profile. The UltraCompact cushion seals under your nose—no bridge coverage—while minimal facial touch points keep your view open for reading or winding down.

  • Diffused exhalation for more comfortable nights
  • Under‑nose seal helps reduce pressure points
  • Open sightline for bedtime routines

Set up in seconds

From first fit to nightly disconnects, the F30i is built for effortless use.

  • Quick‑release elbow simplifies hose removal
  • Self‑guiding magnetic clips speed up on/off

FAQs about the AirFit F30i Full Face CPAP Mask

What is the difference between the AirFit F30 and the F30i?

The F30 and F30i are quite similar, though the F30i is quieter than the F30. The F30i's hose connection is above the head rather than in front of the face (like the F30), allowing for greater freedom of movement, a more compact design for belly sleeping, less bulk in front of the face, and a more open sightline.

What are the AirFit F30i cushions made out of?

The cushions for the AirFit F30i are made from silicone, which is a hypoallergenic option with a soft, lightweight fit. Silicone cushions like the ones used for the AirFit F30i are designed to create a stable and comfortable seal for great sleep night after night.

How do you wear the ResMed F30i mask?

The F30i Full Face Mask includes a one-size-fits-all headgear and a cushion and frame in your selected size. You can learn more about sizing and get some mask-fitting tips in the "Important Tips" tab.

How do you change AirFit F30i cushions?

Most ResMed masks have a universal method for switching out your cushions. On the AirFit F30i, push the buttons on the side of the frame and pull the elbow away, then unclip the magnets and undo the upper headgear tabs. Pull the strapping away from the frame and hold the frame between the upper and lower arms, and then pull the cushion away from the frame. Your cushions should be replaced every three to six months or sooner if there is visible wear and tear. When your cushions begin to age, your mask can become uncomfortable.

How do you clean the ResMed AirFit F30i?

Like most CPAP masks, the AirFit F30i can be cleaned with warm soapy water; never place your CPAP mask in the dishwasher or washing machine.

Is the AirFit F30i mask easy to use?

Yes, the AirFit F30i is very easy to use, thanks to all of the customer feedback that ResMed received from the original AirFit F30! Despite its unique, hybrid design, the F30i adjusts in four places just like other CPAP masks. The top-of-head hose connection makes it a great option for any sleeping position and the quick-release hose elbow and magnetic headgear clips allow you to easily get away from your therapy when needed.

Is the AirFit F30i mask compatible with all CPAP machines?

Yes, the AirFit F30i mask is compatible with the standard CPAP tubing with 22mm rubber ends used by most CPAP machines. As an exception to this, the ResMed AirMini uses a proprietary hose that is only compatible with masks that are designed explicitly for the AirMini. Thanks to the ZephAir AirMini Universal Adapter, you can use any CPAP mask—including the F30i—with the AirMini.

Is the AirFit F30i a beard-friendly mask?

The best CPAP masks for beards typically feature as little surface area as possible to keep a consistent seal. Since the AirFit F30i seals around the mouth and under the nose, where facial hair most commonly grows, it isn’t a mask we recommend first for those with beards. Alternatively, we would recommend the AirFit P30i or N30i as they need less surface area to seal and feature the same top-of-head hose connection.

Is the AirFit F30i mask suitable for side and stomach sleepers?

Yes! The AirFit F30i offers unmatched freedom to side and stomach sleepers thanks to the top-of-head hose connection, which swivels in any direction while changing positions. Thanks to the mask's slim front profile, it is also more comfortable to side-sleep with and won’t get caught as easily on your pillow as more traditional full-face masks.

Is the AirFit F30i durable?

Cushions for the AirFit F30i should last between three and six months. The frame, which is part silicone, may require more frequent replacement than masks with hard plastic frames and should be inspected during cleaning sessions after three months of use. The headgear can be expected to last at least four to six months, but will likely last longer with regular cleaning. Overall, the F30i is reasonably durable and can last a long time when properly maintained.

Does the AirFit F30i have a good seal?

For most people, the original fitting of the AirFit F30i is extremely important for getting a good seal since the F30i offers multiple cushion sizes and two frame sizes. The F30i adapts well to different sleeping positions and uses supportive headgear to minimize mask leaks, but some people still have issues getting the mask to seal, regardless. If this is the case for you, try a different size cushion or frame, or ensure that your headgear is adjusted correctly.
