Features

Exhalation Relief: Reduces air pressure slightly when you exhale to ease the effort of breathing out against the flow of air. You can adjust between three relief settings.

Ramp Mode: Starts therapy at a lower air pressure that gradually increases to your prescribed level over the adjustable 5-45 minute ramp time. An Auto Ramp feature detects when you fall asleep before increasing pressure.

Auto Start/Stop: Simply put on your mask and begin breathing to automatically start your machine. AutoStop triggers the machine to stop once your mask is removed. This feature may not work properly when used with a nasal pillow mask at pressures below 7 cm H2O.

AirMini App Controls: The AirMini pairs with the AirMini App via Bluetooth. The AirMini App is available for Apple and Android devices through the App Store or Google Play Store. All settings and controls are managed through the intuitive AirMini mobile app interface.

Approved for In-Flight Use: This portable CPAP machine is approved for in-flight use on all commercial aircraft. Just be sure to disable the Bluetooth/cellular connection by turning on Airplane Mode.

Waterless Humidifier: AirMini waterless humidification technology, which pulls moisture from the air that you breathe out and then adds it back into the air as you breathe in. There are 2 ways to use this technology:

  • Pop in a HumidX device into a mask that pairs with the AirMini: AirFit P10, N30, N20, and F20.
  • Use a Zephair Universal Hose Adaptor with any standard hose and any CPAP mask, then connect your setup to Breas Blue Foam HMEs or Transcend AirMist HMEs.
Care and cleaning

Replacement Schedule

  • HumidX: Every 30 days
  • AirMini Tubing: Every 3-6 months
  • AirMini Filter: Every 3-6 months

Daily Cleaning

Wipe down machine surface, mask cushion, and frame. Rinse hose and tubing with CPAP-safe water. Allow all parts to air dry fully before reassembling. Do not clean HumidX.

Weekly Cleaning

Remove tubing and disassemble mask. Remove HumidX device and store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Wash mask cushion, frame, headgear, tubing, and hose in gentle soap and warm water. To clean your hose and tubing, gently brush inner and outer surfaces with a tube brush. Rinse everything thoroughly and air dry fully before reassembling.

Note: The AirMini filter and HumidX devices do not require cleaning and should be kept away from water.

Your machine's parts should be replaced on schedule to keep yourself healthy and your CPAP machine in good shape. For a full list of compatible replacement parts, see our collection of AirMini replacement parts.

FAQs about the AirMini™ AutoSet Travel CPAP Machine

How loud is the AirMini?

The AirMini runs at about 30 decibels, which is about the same sound level as a whispered conversation. For comparison, full-sized CPAPs tend to run around 26-28 decibels. Due to their compact size, travel CPAP machines often have less sound-dampening material, so while their decibel ratings on paper are similar, travel machines will typically sound louder than their full-sized counterparts.

Can the AirMini be used full time as a home machine?

Yes, the AirMini can work as your primary CPAP machine, but it's best suited for specific situations.

The AirMini might be perfect for you if:

  • You travel frequently and would truly benefit from its portable design
  • You're comfortable with background noise or already use a white noise machine
  • You don't rely heavily on humidification (the HumidX option works in a pinch, but it's not the same as a full water chamber)
  • You're comfortable using a smartphone app to adjust settings (though you can still start and stop therapy directly on the device)
  • You don't need easy access to detailed sleep data or compliance reports (the AirMini app only offers simplified data, doesn't support SD cards, and getting compliance reports requires coordination with a healthcare provider who can access the AirView portal)

Many of our customers love the AirMini as a secondary or backup machine, giving them freedom to travel while maintaining their therapy. For full-time use, these considerations become more important for your day-to-day comfort and experience.

Does the AirMini automatically adjust air pressure?

The AirMini can be used in CPAP mode with fixed pressure, or in AutoSet mode where it adjusts air flow breath-by-breath based on your needs. The AutoSet for Her mode is specifically calibrated for female users.

What masks can be used with the AirMini?

There are 3 ways to get a mask that works with your AirMini:

1. You can use a regular hose and CPAP mask with the Zephair Universal Adaptor. If you use this hose adaptor, you won't be able to use a HumidX device. But you can use other waterless humidifier devices, such as Breas Blue Foam HMEs or Transcend AirMist HMEs Keep in mind these HMEs do not work with masks with short tubes or top of head hose connections like the AirFit F40, N30, N30i, or DreamWear masks.

2. You can order an AirMini Setup Pack + Mask. This includes a Resmed mask that is compatible with the AirMini, plus an AirMini hose.

3. You can add an AirMini Adaptor Kit to a Resmed mask you already own. These kits do not come with a mask, but they do include the AirMini mask adaptor and AirMini hose.

Can the AirMini be used with heated humidification?

No, the AirMini does not integrate with standard heated humidifiers. It uses the waterless HumidX humidification system that recycles expelled moisture to enhance air humidity. HumidX is only available for the AirFit P10, AirFit N20, AirFit N30, and AirFit F20 for AirMini masks.

How can I track therapy data with the AirMini?

ResMed's AirMini companion app keeps track of nightly therapy data. You can see a simplified view of data from previous nights directly on your smartphone, which can be helpful for understanding how your therapy is going on a nightly basis.

If you're interested in more detailed therapy data, you'll need to coordinate with your healthcare provider to sync your AirMini's data with ResMed's AirView service. Currently, the AirView service is only available to licensed healthcare professionals.

AirView is currently the only way to generate compliance reports with the AirMini, as these detailed reports cannot be viewed in the AirMini app, and the machine does not support an internal SD card.

Is there a monthly fee or payment required to use the AirMini companion app?

The AirMini app is available for AirMini owners completely free of charge, with no monthly subscription fees. You'll simply need to create a free account and register your machine's serial number, then connect to the app via Bluetooth.

Can I use my current CPAP mask with the AirMini?

While the AirMini was designed to work best with only a handful of ResMed mask options, the Zephair Universal Tube Adapter enables you to connect a tube with standard 22mm connections and use any CPAP mask.

Can I reduce the noise of the AirMini?

If the noise of the machine itself is disturbing your sleep, you may find success with the AirMini Bed Mount System. The Bed Mount System allows you to mount the AirMini at a lower level, such as on the side of your bed or nightstand. In doing so, you're limiting your direct exposure to the AirMini's sound levels and allowing your mattress to absorb some of the noise instead.

If you find that the disruptive noise is coming from your tubing rather than the machine itself, ensure that all of your connections are tight and air is not escaping. If you're using HumidX Waterless Humidification, ensure it is seated properly.

If you sleep with a higher CPAP pressure (15+ cmH2O), switching to a quieter mask may help reduce noise levels. Check out our compatibility tab for more information about using the AirMini with other CPAP masks.

Does the HumidX/HumidX Plus have a use by date or shelf life?

When unopened, HumidX/HumidX Plus discs don't have a specific shelf life and can be stored without affecting their performance.

Once you open the packaging, though, ResMed recommends replacing them every 30 days. Even if you don't use your HumidX every night during those 30 days, it should still be replaced after that period to ensure you're getting optimal humidification for your therapy.

If you ever receive a HumidX with packaging that's already opened, damaged, or torn, we recommend replacing it right away with a fresh one.
