I was thrilled to find this option on the CPAP.com website, so I purchased it in preparation for my next trip. I have already invested in an AirMini travel-size CPAP machine, and I brought it with me on my last trip to the East Coast. I tend to travel light, and the AirMini allowed me to further limit what I needed to carry. About a year previously (before I bought the AirMini), I ended up having to sleep in the car because I couldn't find reasonably priced accommodations at such a late hour. Needless to say, it wasn't a restful night. I own a backup battery, but it is simply too bulky and heavy for travel. The ResMed AirMini DC Converter/12v Adapter allows me to power my AirMini whenever I don't have access to electric (line voltage) power. I think I have all of my bases covered now for every eventuality: travel, power outages, backup CPAP—I'm ready!
I recently discovered the 12-volt adapter for the AirMini and I'm very glad I bought it. It worked perfectly in my small camper and used much less battery power than the standard 110-volt adapter, with no loss in CPAP performance. On a recent multi-day off-grid camping trip, I was able to use my CPAP every night without worrying about draining the camper battery. I highly recommend this adapter for anyone using an AirMini with a 12-volt camping setup.
I have an AirMini that I use while traveling for business and when I go camping in our RV. I use the standard AC adapter for business travel when in hotels. The 12VDC car adapter stays in the RV, it works well, and has minimal drain on the RV's battery. I also have a portable battery / 12VDC power supply that I use with the 12VDC adapter when we loose power at home.
WORKS PERFECTLY
Works perfectly. So well that I bought two, one for me and my husband. I recently had surgery and all of the hospital employees remarked about how “sweet/awesome” it was.
