How to Clean Your Mirage Liberty Hybrid Mask
Headgear
Both sizes of the Liberty come packaged with the Standard size (PN 61349) of the Mirage Liberty™ Full Face CPAP Mask Headgear Assembly with Clips.
For help with selecting the proper size cushion, use ResMed’s Mirage Liberty Hybrid Sizing Guide
Where do I find the size?
The mask frame size is located on both the left and right sides of the mask frame. Locate the headgear clip connection ports at the bottom of the mask frame. Both ports have an engraved letter on top of the port, which represents the size of the mask frame.
The full-face cushion size is placed in two locations.
Any mask will work with any machine, with one important exception. The ResMed AirMini is only compatible with certain ResMed CPAP masks. Compatible masks for the AirMini are as follows:
When considering another CPAP, APAP or BiPAP machine from ResMed or any other manufacturer, mask compatibility extends to all brands. The AirMini uses non-standard tubing to connect the machine to the mask, and is the primary reason why other masks won't work with the AirMini. Despite this issue, many of our customers consider the AirMini to be an excellent machine.
Yes. Federal law requires we have a valid prescription on file before we ship your mask, machine, humidifier, or EPAP therapy, including Provent and Bongo RX. You will also need a prescription to purchase the Nightbalance POSA device.

Masks should be washed daily with warm water and gentle soap or baby shampoo. Let the mask air dry. Never use antibacterial soap as it will break down the silicone of the mask cushion. Avoid soaps that include lotion which can coat the mask and cause it to lose its seal. A safe cleaner is the Control III Disinfectant CPAP Cleaning Solution. Remember, going to bed with a clean face will improve your seal and protect the lifespan of your mask.
The best time to clean your mask is in the morning after use. This removes the oils left behind from your skin which can reduce the lifespan of your mask. We recommend using Mask Wipes to make daily morning cleaning easy. The mask wipes are made from materials that will not break down your mask.
For customers who want to completely disinfect their mask and accessories, there's an even better option than wipes. The Lumin Mask and Accessories Cleaner uses powerful UV light to disinfect, killing almost all bacteria almost instantly. It's not a cleaner and doesn't scrub or wash anything, but for simple disinfecting the Lumin works great!

Nasal pillow delivery systems offer less contact with the face than either full face or traditional nasal masks. This system works well for those who tend to feel closed in or claustrophobic. Many nasal pillow systems have nothing that cross in front of the bridge of the nose allowing for a clear line of sight for reading or watching TV.
It can be easier to achieve a seal with this system, because there is less for you to adjust and less surface area to create and hold a seal.
Nasal pillow systems may work well for someone with a mustache or beard as the seal occurs only at the nares or nasal opening.
Someone who has a facial mole or scar near or around the nose, may find getting a seal with a traditional nasal mask difficult. Nasal pillows are an option in this circumstance.
Most nasal pillow masks also come with all sizes included to make finding the right size easier.

I am used to a nasal mask, this was really uncomfortable for me above the nose area and the air... making my mouth dry. May work for others though more...
It is very difficult to get over your head and snap the headgear in place as opposed to the normal... magnetic snaps. Once on, it is comfortable. The major flaw, however, is for those of us that have mouths that drop open and drool it is horrible. Because of the small mouth area, there is nowhere for the drool to go other than up your nose. Good concept, but not for me. more...
I purchased this mask in hopes that the air would not come out and hit my eyes, well it did... that but now the air goes into my mouth and it hurts my gums and teeth. DARN! I have to send it back more...
I like the form factor of this design with the face cushion surrounding the mouth coupled with the nasal pillows.... I am looking for something very much like this design; however, the portion of the mask made of rigid plastic (where the headgear attaches) is frankly just way too stiff. I felt like my mouth was being pressed up against a wall. If there is way to make that this concept less rigid I think you would have a winner. more...
This was my first nasal pillow mask for me ,and probably my last. I didn't like the rush of air... up my nostril, even at the ramping up stage. and the part that cover my mouth leaked as I turn. Also, the air vent is right at the elbow of the hose and mask connection so every time I turn and face my wife, she would get a breeze on her face. she did not like that. more...
I tried two other masks before finding this one. It ticked all my boxes! It’s not claustrophobic like a full... face mask. It also keeps the air from escaping from the nose holes by utilizing the nose pillows. I’m finally getting a full night’s sleep! more...
I could not get a seal around the nasal pillows or mouth cushion. Did not like the clips that... clipped lower straps to the frame. F30 is a much better mask for me. I get a good seal with F30, and I love the magnetic clips. The F30 is a much newer design, and it works with my travel air mini as well as standard cpap machine. more...
This was almost impossible to sleep with. Before I purchased this I used just the nasal pillow headgear but wanted... to try a full face mask in times when nose was plugged. After this I saw there is just a full face mask that would have worked better. I should have done that. I just thought it would be easier to transition to something different with something that is similar to use. Problems: ridged and uncomfortable unless you sleep without moving. Nose pillows didn't fit the best Mouth piece actually held mouth closed which defeated the purpose of using it. Expensive. more...
New to the cpap game. Tried the full face, the nasal, and another type of nasal pillow mask. The full... face I ripped off after a few minutes, felt too claustrophobic! I need my mouth covered and I had been searching masks and found this hybrid. GAME CHANGER!!! more...
Quality mask but unable to get it to seal around my face and nasal area even after trying different nose... pieces. Just have one of those faces. more...
It is extremely difficult to get the right fit and it also be comfortable. Can’t fall asleep at night due... to this mask! more...
Tried multiple full face masks until I found this "hybrid" almost 10 years ago...I really hope they decide to keep... manufacturing these for the foreseeable future. Only criticism I have is that the nose prong material is a little too soft...I stiffen them up with a couple of elastic bands rapped around each prong...I sleep on my side and back with just the right amount of tension it seals perfectly...but don't overtighten...once the seals inflate you'll be surprised at the sealing capacity of this little guy. more...
