The M Series Pro is a small and feature packed CPAP that looks more like a stylish clock radio than a CPAP.
It easily packs away in your carry on luggage, and has an incredible number of high-tech features, including the patented C-Flex comfort feature, and powerful clinical data features, onboard.
The M Series Pro with C-Flex offers optional integrated humidification, Encore Pro SmartCard capability for advanced clinical reporting, lighted controls, an easy-to-read display and the comfort of C-Flex.
The M Series Pro sports a small, sleek device and case, a less obtrusive profile with tubing connected in the back and a "hidden" water chamber.
The Pro offers lighted primary touch controls for power, ramp, and C-Flex as well as a LCD display and controls for easy set up.
The humidifier controls have been simplified and now include an easy turn humidification dial. A water chamber that is easy to remove, fill and replace
delivers continuous humidification throughout the night.
The M Series Pro is convenient for travel with or without the integrated humidifier. The standard travel carry case has been updated with a new sleeker look.

Power Options
Universal Power
The M Series Pro operates automatically between 110v – 240v AC. When traveling either inside or outside the USA, there are no switches to switch or fuses to change. The machine will automatically sense what voltage is needed and set itself to run on the power needed.
The user will need to adapt the plug that goes into the wall to fit the style of outlet socket that is being used. This is simply done with a Power Adapter Plug kit. This is the same type of plug adapter that would be used with a hair dryer or an electric shaver.
The M Series Pro comes equipped with a DC plug on the back of the unit. This allows the user to connect the CPAP to an external DC battery source.
Using a Respironics, 12volt DC Power Cord the M Series Remstar Plus can be powered by plugging into a cigarette lighter plug. This is ideal for traveling by car, boat, or recreational vehicle that is equipped with a cigarette lighter plug.
It is recommended that you use a 100 amp hour, 12v DC deep cycle marine battery for operating you CPAP machine when not connected to 110v AC /230v AC.
There are two cables needed to configure the M Series Plus with a Marine Deep Cycle Battery. They fit together to make a connection from the back of the M Series Remstar Plus to the battery clip terminals on the marine battery.
Here are the links to the cables needed to hook up to a marine style battery. Both cables are needed.
The Respironics Battery Pack has been a long standing favorite of our customer’s. It weighs in at 13lbs and can be carried easily with its shoulder strap.
This battery pack will give roughly 26 hours of use, depending on the cpap pressure setting. (Results may vary.)
* The Respironics Battery Pack must be charged with shore power. This unit can be charged at voltages ranging from 115v – 230v.

m series pro c flex cpap

(4 out of 5) by Allen P, Huntersville, NC
"This machine is very good at what it is designed to do. However, the removeable hose connection seems to be an after thought in the design of the connections. The hose connection should be a fixed part of the machine and not one that will be prone to breakage after removal and attachment is done often just to either use the humidifer or not use the humidifer. Also the electrical connection is very cumbersom in the number of connections needed to power up the machine."
My first CPAP machine

"I started using CPAP 2 months ago. This is the first machine I've used so I don't have anything to compare it to. It works fine. I love getting a good night's sleep now. I really like having the data card/software and printing out the data each day. That helps me to figure out how diet, stress, etc. affects my AHI (milk and dougnuts before bedtime is a bad idea). The humidifier does leak a bit. I put a towel under the machine. The amount of leak is inconsistent. Some nights there is no leak at all. When I pull the tank out in the morning and tip it on end, a little bit of water drips out between the two halves. That leads me to believe that the problem is with the O-ring. Sometimes it is hard to get the lid closed because the O-ring stretches (I can see it through the transparent tank). So I think a little care when reassembling the tank helps to minimize the leak. It also seems to be worse on cooler nights so condensation might be an issue. This machine had a note with it that said the hose elbow was no longer being shipped with the machine because it leaks. Since I don't have that elbow that's not the cause of the leaks on my machine. Some people have complained about this machine being noisy. I can see why they think that. It doesn't bother me though. It seems to be less noisy without the humidifier. There are some ducts in the tank that make the air flow across more of the surface area of the water. It's a great idea for getting more moisture into the air, but it might be causing some of the noise. I don't use C-Flex. My pressure is only 9 so I'm very comfortable without it. The couple of times I tried it my AHI went up. I would have to do some more testing to see if that's really the case or if something else was causing my AHI to go up on those nights. I really doubt that C-Flex was the problem. I haven't traveled with it yet, but the bag is nice and the machine is small enough that it shouldn't be a problem (just have to remember to take a small towel along). Summary: I like the machine. The data card and software is great for getting feedback about how things affect my apnea. I knocked off 1 star for the leaky humidifier problem."

"Ordered the M-Series Pro w/humidifier to replace the two month rental M-Series Plus from DME (per recommendations and help supplied from cpaptalk.com members). It was very easy to adjust the settings and set up the machine. The integrated humidifier is easy to fill and clean. Cons: too many bulky power cords making this only a 4 star product. Overall, I'm very happy having a machine that is data capable with my smart card reader and EncoreViewer software. As a newbie with 2.5 months of cpap experience, I'm happier with the Pro unit vs. the Plus."
Some improvements, Some Drawbacks
February 13, 2008
(4 out of 5) by Jeff F.
"I just received my M-Series Pro w/humidifier as a replacement for the old "tank" Remstar Pro I had for 5 years. There are definitely some improvements with this new model but there are also some issues that need to be addressed.
Pros:
* The unit looks great, it has a low profile and fits nicely on the nightstand.
* The C-Flex feature is a nice addition for those that have trouble fighting the pressure during exhaling.
* The humidifier is easy to fill up and is nicely hidden. The dial on the humidifier is also a very nice touch.
* The Auto-On feature may scare you the first time you put your mask on - but its actually a cool feature. Now all I do is put the mask on and start breathing and the unit comes on.
Cons:
* I can deal with having the seperate power supply but having two cords dangling around seems sloppy to me. The old "tank" model simply had a crossover cord that attached the humidifier to the main unit.
* The unit is definitely noisier than my old Remstar Pro - especially if you have C-Flex enabled. Its not outrageous - but I have trouble believing Respironics claim that it is only 1db louder. My ears beg to differ.
* The lighted buttons are pretty bright at night. It makes for a nice nightlight even - but I know many people that cannot stand to have any kind of light in the bedroom at night. This should be an adjustable feature.
* The removeable Air Outlet Port that comes with the machine (this is not used when you have the humidifier attached) is just asking to be lost or damaged. The old humidifier on the Remstar Pro simply plugged into the air port like any cpap hose you would use.
This is still an excellent machine and I would recommend it to anyone. My old one lasted over 5 years - so you can bet its a quality unit."
Needs another engineering look

"I bought this unit to ease the travel burden in toting around my full-size Respironix PRO2. I had read online about the power brick being separate from the unit, but when it arrived I was disappointed in the Rube-Goldberg approach to adding an adaptor to the brick to support the humidifier. The resulting "Y" of cables feels a bit less than optimal.
It's a lot noisier than my full-size unit. It doesn't keep me from sleeping, and thankfully my spouse can sleep through nearly anything.
Therapy-wise, it's top notch. Feels just like my full-size unit.
