Can I use a nasal or nasal pillow mask if I’m a mouth breather?

It's possible to use a nasal or nasal pillow mask even if you breathe through your mouth. Many of our customers find success by pairing their nasal mask with a chin strap or mouth tape to keep their mouth closed during sleep. This combination helps ensure the therapy air pressure stays consistent throughout the night, giving you the full benefits of your CPAP therapy. Which CPAP masks work with the AirMini?

There are 3 ways to get a mask that works with your AirMini:

1. You can use a regular hose and CPAP mask with the Zephair Universal Adaptor. If you use this hose adaptor, you won't be able to use a HumidX device. But you can use other waterless humidifier devices, such as Breas Blue Foam HMEs or Transcend AirMist HMEs.

The downside is that these humidifier devices don't work with masks that feature short tubes or top hose connections, such as the AirFit F40 or DreamWear masks.

2. You can order an AirMini Setup Pack + Mask. This includes a ResMed mask that is compatible with the AirMini, plus an AirMini hose.

3. You can add an AirMini Adaptor Kit to a ResmMed mask you already own. These kits do not come with a mask, but they do include the AirMini mask adaptor and AirMini hose.
