Comfort Gel Right Fit Sizing Gauge
Looking to replace your old ComfortGel mask, but you do not know what size you have? The size of the mask can be found printed on or embossed along the side of the frame that runs along the nose. An example of the size indicator is a printed "L" meaning you have a "Large."
The Comfort Gel mask is no longer manufactured with the Deluxe Headgear. Respironics has upgraded the headgear to the Premium Headgear with EZ Peel Tabs.

"I have had a couple of these masks and I like them for the most part. But there is a serious design flaw that keeps these from lasting more than a few months before they break. Unless Respironics corrects this flaw, I will be switching masks on my next purchase.
The ComfortGel mask has a pair of tabs at the bottom of the mask where you connect the headgear straps, and these tabs need serious reinforcement. Every one of my ComfortGel masks has broken at the tabs (these are clear plastic tabs that form the socket part of a ball-and-socket connection system). This is a major stress point for the mask, and there is no replacement part for the tabs. If the thin plastic tabs break, the whole mask is broken and there's no repairing it (I've tried glue, but the repair never lasts more than a couple of days).
Respironics needs to redesign the mold for this mask so these tabs are thicker and stronger. It shouldn't be that difficult to widen the base of these tabs, and it will more than double the strength. I've found unclipping the strap from the mask (the way you're shown in the instructions) actually wears the tabs down faster than leaving the strap connected to the tabs and using the elastic to slowly slip the mask over the head.
This is a serious design flaw that has been around for a couple of years. If you mention "the tabs" to a customer service person, he or she will know what you're talking about. Do not buy this mask unless Respironics has redesigned the tabs to make them stronger. It's a shame I have to give this mask a negative review, because I actually enjoy the fit of this mask over other masks I've worn."

"After 14 consecutive of C.P.A.P. it is abundantly clear to me that this mask is the gold standard. It is the one that, for me, all other masks have to be measured. None has ever stood up to this one. I have slept more than 5,000 nights using this mask or its earlier versions and I have change out to a new one about once per year. They all fit. They all perform. They are all comfortable. Every now and then I'll try my nasal pillow mask for a month or so just for variety's sake but I always come back to the ComfortGel.
Frankly, for me, C.P.A.P. is this mask. I recommend it woithout reservation."

"This is the mask I was prescribed. I did not know until I ordered this replacement that you must have a prescription for a mask. My wife uses a different mask. I tried it, and do not like it nearly as well, but it might just be what I am used to. This mask is comfortable for me. She likes hers better."

"The pins that connect the strap to the face mask keep coming out while trying to put the mask on. Additionally the connection between the mask frame and the forehead piece comes apart every time I try to put the mask on.
After the battle to get in on, it is very comfortable."
