Cannot Use the Battery and Humidifier Together
The DreamStation Go is engineered to not allow for battery use while the humidifier is running. You can use one or the other but not both.
Charging from a DC Source
To charge the DreamStation Go Battery from a DC power source (such as a battery for a car or boat), this requires using an inverter. The inverter should be a minimum of 150 watts. An inverter is a device that converts DC power into AC power.
FAA Battery Regulations
Here's the regulations from the FAA explaining its policies on what types of batteries are acceptable for bringing on a flight. Per the manufacturer, this battery meets the requirements for in-flight use:FAA Regulations for Batteries
Packaging Date Stamp Explanation
The dates recorded on battery packaging are internal dates used by the manufacturer indicating when they were checked/charged before shipment, they are not expiration dates of the battery's lifecycle.
Our battery packs for the Dreamstation Go arrived a couple of days ago. We immediately began charging them which took about 5 hours, per the instructions. I used mine for almost two full nights, my daughter for 1+ night, before they required recharging. Simple to use and understand instructions. An elegant solution to the possible rolling blackout situation. more...
I have honestly been looking into purchasing one of these things for years now. I just couldn't justify the cost of it however, during a recent hurricane scare, I realized that I'd be crazy to not have one. I purchased it and it was delivered in a few days. I charged it for 24 hours before I plugged it into my machine and it works great! I may purchase another in the near future just to have two. more...
I was under the impression that this device could function as a battery backup for the CPAP, but for a more limited amount of time with the humidifier attached. This is not the case. It refuses to function whatsoever if the humidifier is attached. more...
