During the course of your sleep apnea therapy journey, you’ll likely find yourself replacing just about every part of your CPAP setup at one point or another to ensure your equipment is working as it should. Some parts, such as your mask cushions, air filters, and headgear, need to be replaced more often than parts like your humidifier chamber or its seals and gaskets. Your humidifier chamber, however, isn’t bulletproof, but it will last you six months to a year on average before requiring replacement.
Apart from your humidifier, you’ll also notice that there are some inlet and outlet seals that keep water where it’s supposed to be and air flowing the way it should. These seals will also need to be replaced when they start to wear out to maintain therapy effectiveness. Here, you’ll find replacement seals and gaskets for your humidifier chamber, HumidX replacement pucks for the ResMed AirMini, and an assortment of humidifier parts for older machines, like the PR System One and ResMed S9.
While it isn’t always obvious, most of the time, you should be able to tell when a replacement part is needed, based on if your humidifier is working properly or not. The first sign of humidifier trouble is that the air coming from your CPAP machine won’t be humidified, causing you to experience the pains of dry mouth, throat, or nose, such as air passage soreness, nose bleeds, tooth irritations, bad breath, etc.
If you are not receiving your typical humidified air, your humidifier could not be seated properly, the heating plate may not be working, or there may not be water in the chamber. If there’s an issue with your chamber itself, there will likely be a noticeable leak or crack. As long as you only use distilled water and don’t drop your humidifier chamber, it will likely last much longer than the recommended six-month replacement window. What’s more likely, however, is a faulty humidifier seal or gasket. Indicators that it may be time to inspect and replace your humidifier seals include an uncharacteristic hissing noise from your humidifier or an unusually high amount of water left in the humidifier reservoir in the morning.
Over time, humidifier seals and gaskets can also deteriorate, and the subtle vibrations from your machine can gradually unseat these parts, which increases the risk of water ending up in the sensitive electronics of your machine. If you frequently travel or relocate your CPAP machine, you may dislodge or misalign your seals without realizing it, so be sure to check that everything is lined up and secure in place before using your machine after moving it.
To ensure peak functionality, it’s important to clean your humidifier chamber weekly with mild soap and warm water. You should, however, empty and dry your humidifier chamber after each use. By also following the recommended replacement schedule, you can help ensure that your machine stays in proper working order. After about six months of machine use or when you start to notice changes in your therapy, you’ll want to begin inspecting your seals about once a month to ensure everything is in proper working order.
If you need help finding the right part, our Part Finder Tool is an excellent resource for locating some of the less-common parts that are associated with your machine, like your humidifier seals and gaskets.

Please Note: HumidX for AirMini is only compatible with mask setup packs that are designed for the AirMini. If you use the Zephair Adapter and a standard CPAP mask and tube, you can still enjoy waterless humidification with the generic Heat Moisture Exchange (HME) Units.

I found this product on a fluke. The Covid-19 virus created such a scare people purchased, all the water they could get, even that which we need for medical equipment, like a CPAP machine. Well, while looking online for distilled water, online, I came across this on another website. They were on backorder. Well, I'd been a customer here for many years, but forgot. What pops up, in this account. Where do they have this amazing product, right here! I ordered it, and love it. Even ordered the filters. I'm so grateful.

I was a little concerned about not having a humidifier on the Airmini, but these really work well. Like everyone else says it takes one use to get them working, but after that, they work like a charm.

Old gasket was leaking. APRIA supplies my masks and tubing but didn't seem to know or understand what I was talking about when I asked for a replacement gasket for the lid. So glad I found CPAP.com they allowed me to order my replacement and got it within the week. It fits and works terrific.

Finding this humidifier elbow seal for sale on CPAP.com was completely unexpected. I'd been told by my official Rx-related provider that no such replacement parts were offered. So glad I discovered CPAP.com, they've helped me extend the life of my humidifier. The new OEM seal works perfectly as expected.
