"I was previously using a CPAP machine by Purtian Bennet which seemed to only have a life of approximately 8-10 months. I'm very pleased with the Intelli-PAP. It is extremely quiet and user friendly. I especially like the automatic on and off settings. I bought the unit with a humidifier and my only comments on the humidifier are that it is a little difficult to fill and I miss the automatic shut off when the water level gets low but overall it works great."

can't hear it

"Pros:
This replaced my 6+ year old RemstarPro (that died recently). I didn't have C-Flex, nor had I used a humidifier for probably 4 years. Was nice not to pay for features I did not need. I called Respironics about the error message displayed - but they would not stick their neck out whatsoever to offer any kind of a hint what they would charge or how long to fix it. Simply was told to contact my DME source. That was enough frustration to investigate alternatives.
I was concerned with comments re: M series not being quite as quiet as RemstarPro - plus it was more expensive than the Intellipap - and finally, the Intellipap has one more year of warranty. This quickly became a no brainer after talking with the staff @ CPAP.com. The only sound heard is the air in the mask - NOTHING from the machine itself once the mask is on. This is quieter than the original RemstarPro(which I thought was already very quiet). In fact, for the first time in several years, I now hear a great horned owl early in the morning before dawn - even while using the cpap!
I'll probably purchase a 2nd unit in the near future as a backup - so I don't find myself without any cpap at all - even for a few nights. Because of what I originally paid for the Remstar, I had never considered buying a spare tire. The Intellipap, at the price from cpap.com, makes this a very easy decision.
Cons:
I did notice a "new" odor for the first couple of nights -not sure if it was in the hose or the machine itself. But it was not enough to make me change to previous hose or get out of bed to troubleshoot more. Not a big deal for me - I was asleep in a few minutes."

Quiet compact machine

"I purchased this machine to replace my 10+ year old CPAP before it may fail, and to make it easier to adjust the pressure. I was amazed with the sound difference, this CPAP is amazingly quiet. I am also very impressed with the size and weight of this, it takes up about 75% of the space my old CPAP did and weighs at least half the weight, I travel frequently and this seems like it will be much easier to handle for the TSA screenings and even more portable for the local trips. The only negative I have is the port for the hose is on the back of the machine, for me at home this is OK, but I can see I will have to turn this around when traveling, but with the auto on/off I really do not need to worry about the buttons so it's not much of a big deal. Overall a good machine that I would recommend to others."

IntelliPAP Standard Travel CPAP Machine

"I really really like this cpap machine. It is very compact. This machine is so quiet. I don't know if the mask that I use makes a difference, but you just don't hear this machine. I really like the water compartment, it has an audible snap when you slide it back in, so there are no messes. Very easy setup. Now, I don't have to lug my big machine around anymore!!"
