Full Product Description

The DeVilbiss IntelliPAP Standard CPAP System is designed to optimize therapy effectiveness. There are three large buttons for CPAP users to operate the device. When travel is a concern take advantage of the compact design allowing the CPAP, humidifier, hose and accessories to store away in its travel bag. Packed with features, the CPAP is programmed with:

  • Automatic Altitude Adjustment
  • Pressure Ramp
  • SmartCode compliance tracking
  • Auto ON/OFF
  • Reminder Alerts
  • Backlit LCD
  • Easy-to-Follow CPAP user Menu
  • CPAP hose connects to back of unit

Built for durability, the unit is water resistant, has a stainless steel heat transfer plate and a water chamber constructed of Lexan (polycarbonate resin thermoplastic). Use the optional heated humidifier to provide additional comfort and humidity for your sleep therapy. The exclusive humidifier chamber is easy to remove and designed to maximize humidity with a larger surface area. Along with the unique baffle design, the water chamber allows the airflow to collect more humidity. DeVilbiss designed the chamber to hold enough water for a full night's sleep. At the humidifier's highest setting, you can still expect a full 8 hours of humidification.

Powering the unit is achieved through docking with the CPAP, eliminating the need for bulky power adapters or extra hoses.

SmartCode is a simple and easy way to review your sleep performance without the need to purchase software. Starting the day after your first treatment, the IntelliPAP machine begins to display SmartCode messages on your machine's screen. Each message is a unique encrypted code containing the results of your sleep therapy. The IntelliPAP quickly confirms compliance using the Adherence Score. Doctors use the Adherence percentage score to determine whether a user is in compliance with CPAP LCD (Local Coverage Determination). SmartCodes report Adherence based on the best consecutive thirty days of usage. Codes can be generated for the following calendar schedule:
  • 1 Day
  • 7 Days
  • 30 Days
  • 90 Days
  • Cumulative

Using the "Track Your Therapy" tool provided on the IntelliPAP AutoAdjust Product Page, IntelliPAP users can input 1 or several SmartCodes to generate a series of reports. Refer to the IntelliPAP SmartCode Report Comparison Chart for list of reports for each machine. for list of reports for each machine.

Power Options
Universal Power

The DeVilbiss IntelliPAP Standard CPAP System operates automatically between 110v – 240v AC. When traveling either inside or outside the USA, there are no switches to switch or fuses to change. The machine will automatically sense what voltage is needed and set itself to run on that power.

The user will need to adapt the plug that goes into the wall to fit the style of outlet socket that is being used. This is simply done with a Power Adapter Plug kit. This is the same type of plug adapter that would be used with a hair dryer or an electric shaver.

CPAP.com Comments
With so many features included, the IntelliPAP could also be one of the quietest CPAP machines on the market, operating at only 26dBA. Most Brand Name manufacturers' CPAPs operate at 30dBA or higher and come standard with only a two year warranty. DeVilbiss now comes with an industry leading, 3-year warranty service.

The power supply is internal for the IntelliPAP line. There is no bulky power adapter or brick.

"I was previously using a CPAP machine by Purtian Bennet which seemed to only have a life of approximately 8-10 months. I'm very pleased with the Intelli-PAP. It is extremely quiet and user friendly. I especially like the automatic on and off settings. I bought the unit with a humidifier and my only comments on the humidifier are that it is a little difficult to fill and I miss the automatic shut off when the water level gets low but overall it works great."

can't hear it   September 18, 2009

(5 out of 5) by John B, Peoria, IL

"Pros:
This replaced my 6+ year old RemstarPro (that died recently). I didn't have C-Flex, nor had I used a humidifier for probably 4 years. Was nice not to pay for features I did not need. I called Respironics about the error message displayed - but they would not stick their neck out whatsoever to offer any kind of a hint what they would charge or how long to fix it. Simply was told to contact my DME source. That was enough frustration to investigate alternatives.

I was concerned with comments re: M series not being quite as quiet as RemstarPro - plus it was more expensive than the Intellipap - and finally, the Intellipap has one more year of warranty. This quickly became a no brainer after talking with the staff @ CPAP.com. The only sound heard is the air in the mask - NOTHING from the machine itself once the mask is on. This is quieter than the original RemstarPro(which I thought was already very quiet). In fact, for the first time in several years, I now hear a great horned owl early in the morning before dawn - even while using the cpap!

I'll probably purchase a 2nd unit in the near future as a backup - so I don't find myself without any cpap at all - even for a few nights. Because of what I originally paid for the Remstar, I had never considered buying a spare tire. The Intellipap, at the price from cpap.com, makes this a very easy decision.

Cons:
I did notice a "new" odor for the first couple of nights -not sure if it was in the hose or the machine itself. But it was not enough to make me change to previous hose or get out of bed to troubleshoot more. Not a big deal for me - I was asleep in a few minutes."

Quiet compact machine   September 15, 2009

(4 out of 5) by Brian , IL

"I purchased this machine to replace my 10+ year old CPAP before it may fail, and to make it easier to adjust the pressure. I was amazed with the sound difference, this CPAP is amazingly quiet. I am also very impressed with the size and weight of this, it takes up about 75% of the space my old CPAP did and weighs at least half the weight, I travel frequently and this seems like it will be much easier to handle for the TSA screenings and even more portable for the local trips. The only negative I have is the port for the hose is on the back of the machine, for me at home this is OK, but I can see I will have to turn this around when traveling, but with the auto on/off I really do not need to worry about the buttons so it's not much of a big deal. Overall a good machine that I would recommend to others."

IntelliPAP Standard Travel CPAP Machine   September 10, 2009

(5 out of 5) by Annoymous User

"I really really like this cpap machine. It is very compact. This machine is so quiet. I don't know if the mask that I use makes a difference, but you just don't hear this machine. I really like the water compartment, it has an audible snap when you slide it back in, so there are no messes. Very easy setup. Now, I don't have to lug my big machine around anymore!!"
